The Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, has announced that DStv subscribers in Ghana will enjoy between 33% and 50% more value on their subscriptions from Wednesday, October 1, 2025, following an agreement between the Ministry and MultiChoice Africa.
Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, September 29, 2025, he stated that MultiChoice Africa has committed to rolling out an unprecedented value offer in Ghana, providing subscribers between 33% and 50% more value depending on the package they use.
From Price Cuts to Value: Sam George shifts focus on DStv subscriptions
“MultiChoice Africa has committed to an unprecedented increase in value offer only in Ghana, which will result in Ghanaian DStv subscribers getting more services for less. Depending on the DStv package or bouquet you use, subscribers will get between 33% to 50% more value,” he remarked.
Sam George further outlined the new DStv packages set to take effect on October 1, 2025.
“For those on the Padi subscription, you currently pay GH¢59. When you pay GH¢59, you automatically gain access to the Second Bouquet, which is valued at GH¢99, and receive 35 additional channels. This represents a 40% savings if you were to pay for the Access bouquet separately.

“Second Bouquet access, currently priced at GH¢99, will be upgraded to the Family Bouquet, currently valued at GH¢190, giving you 19 more channels. This means that by retaining your Access subscription and being upgraded, you save 48%,” he added.
