Kumawood actor and businessman Abraham Kofi Davis, popularly known as Salinko or Small Despite, has become the subject of growing discussions over the source of his wealth following his recent acts of generosity.
The actor has in recent times surprised many people with his ability to acquire expensive assets and give substantial gifts to friends, colleagues and associates, prompting questions from some members of the public about how he has accumulated his wealth.
Salinko’s financial rise has been particularly noticeable because of the number of expensive gifts he has reportedly presented to people within and outside the entertainment industry.
Salinko is reported to have gifted more than 10 cars to friends and associates over the years, making him one of the entertainment personalities frequently associated with lavish gifts.
One of his most recent gestures was his decision to surprise veteran gospel musician MC Abraham with a brand-new Honda CR-V.
The vehicle gift once again generated conversations about Salinko’s financial strength, with many people wondering how he has been able to repeatedly afford expensive vehicles for other people.
But the actor’s generosity does not appear to stop at individual gifts.
Salinko has also promised to put more than 300 veteran actors and musicians on a GH¢1,000 monthly payroll for life as part of his plans to support people who have contributed to Ghana’s entertainment industry.
While some have praised him for his generosity, others have questioned whether his acting career alone could have generated the level of wealth he appears to command.
The speculation has even gone beyond his legitimate business activities, with some people suggesting that supernatural means could be responsible for his wealth.
Kumawood actor Don Little, for instance, has made comments suggesting that Salinko’s wealth could be connected to money rituals.
However, such claims remain speculation and have not been supported by any evidence to prove that Salinko acquired his wealth through juju or money rituals.
Zionfelix.net however has some information about the actor’s business interests which provides a more concrete explanation for his financial success.
It has been confirmed that Salinko owns LINKO 1,2, 3, a milk powder warehouse business in Ghana. He is also said to have invested in other businesses, with these investments reportedly generating significant income for him.
His financial activities therefore extend well beyond his career in the Kumawood movie industry.
Although acting helped establish his name and provided him with a career in Ghana’s entertainment industry, Salinko has apparently diversified his income sources by investing in businesses capable of generating money independently of his acting work.
His generosity has, however, made his wealth even more difficult for some people to understand.
