Artiste manager, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has challenged claims that Archbishop Salifu Amoako’s son’s fatal accident was murder.

He explained that describing the unfortunate incident as murder would mean that the archbishop’s son intentionally caused the accident to kill the two girls.

The artiste manager stressed that the footage from the accident does not show that such a thing occurred and has not been established yet; hence, people should not qualify it in that regard.

Bullgod stated that it should rather be manslaughter for now until the probe into the case suggests otherwise and that he hopes the bereaved families understand the situation.

“I disagree with the murder claims because such a thing comes with malice and intention to do so, but none of us can establish that fact. The videos do not show that act.

“That is why we have investigations ongoing to determine. Probably, the charge would be manslaughter. Even the bereaved family would understand from that angle,” he said during United Showbiz, aired on UTV on October 26, 2024.

Bullgod further criticised Salifu Amoako for claiming his son did not hold a gun to kill anyone.

“That statement was very foolish. I am not saying the man himself is. With what he said, if you probe into the matter, it was not wrong, but the timing was problematic,” he added.

Salifu Amoako, after being discharged by the police, remarked that the public should be measured in their criticisms because his son did not hold a gun to kill anyone; and that it was an accident.

    Background

The CCTV footage from the crash, which occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2024, disclosed the circumstances of the accident that resulted in the deaths of two girls and left three others critically injured.

The video showed Salifu Amoako’s son, Elrad, speeding toward a junction where he collided with another vehicle, causing a fire.

Assistant Division Officer (ADO) Alex King Nartey from the Public Affairs Department of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed the details of the incident during an interview on Adom FM, stating that the deceased were passengers in the Acura vehicle.

The two girls who died in the accident have been buried, with the case being investigated by the police.
