Former Liverpool star, Sadio Mane has opened up about his relationship with former teammates Roberto Firmino and Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah.

According to Mane who spoke fondly about his bond with Roberto Firmino, the Brazilian is the best teammate and human being anybody can ask for.

On his relationship with Mohammed Salah, the Senegalese revealed in the interview with Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand that the rivalry between him and the Egyptian was often exaggerated by the media.

Mane explained that there was never personal tension between him and Salah, instead the rivalry came from a shared desire to push each other to become better for their team.

“I have never seen a football player or a human being like Bobby in my entire life. He is the only player that i have his shirt in my house.”

“Mo Salah is a great player. We had rivalry but it was not intense like that but we pushed each other to be better for the team,” Sadio Mane said.

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, and Roberto Firmino played together at Liverpool for six seasons: from 2017–18 to 2022–23.
