A tragic incident occurred at Asafo near the VIP station in the Ashanti Region, where a young man in his early twenties was found dead in a ‘trotro’ . He was traveling from Tarkwa to Kumasi in a sprinter vehicle and had rested his head on a seat, leading fellow passengers to assume he was taking a nap. Unfortunately, when they arrived at Asafo lorry station, efforts to wake him up were unsuccessful, and it became clear that he had passed away.
Similar incidents have been reported in the Ashanti Region, including a 56-year-old man who died in a fire outbreak at Asafo-Dadiesoaba Electoral Area and another incident where a man believed to be in his 60s was found dead at Krofrom . In February 2024, a young man was also found dead at Krofrom .
