Italian Jannik Sinner showcased his superiority as he dispatched the United States’ Ben Shelton in straight sets. The game ended (6-3, 6-4, 6-4).

Germany’s Alexander Zverev also overcame intense competition from American Tien, winning (6-3, 6-7, 6-1, 7-6) in four sets.

The semi-finals, scheduled for January 30, 2026, will feature a blockbuster clash between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner. Carlos Alcaraz will face Zverev to determine who qualifies for the final.

In the women’s singles semi-finals, world number one Aryna Sabalenka will face Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina.

The other highly anticipated match will see Jessica Pegula of the US take on Elena Rybakina in a high-stakes encounter for a place in the final.

Both matches are scheduled for January 29, 2026, in Melbourne, Australia.
