Rosy Meurer, a popular Gambian actress and wife of Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill, has dismissed allegations that her marriage is under strain following her husband’s recent reconciliation with his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh.
In a series of posts shared on Instagram, Meurer insisted that her marriage remains intact and described her bond with Churchill as strong.
She stated that she was fully aware and consented to the reconciliation before it took place, adding that she supports her husband’s relationship with his child.
“We love each other. I love Churchill because I can take a bullet for him. He has been by my side all this time. He has never abandoned me,” she wrote.
Rosy Meurer first stirred social media conversations after releasing a series of videos addressing her relationship with her husband, Olakunle Churchill, and his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh.
I was forced to lie about relationship with Tonto, Churchill – Rosy Meurer
Rosy Meurer, who married Churchill in 2020, three years after his divorce from Tonto Dikeh in 2017, initially denied claims that she had “snatched” her friend’s husband, insisting that Tonto Dikeh was like family to her.
However, in a subsequent video, Meurer contradicted herself, stating that she had never known or met Dikeh.
Her comments triggered backlash from social media users, who have accused her of being inconsistent.
In response, Meurer explained that she had been forced to lie about her relationship with Dikeh.
“You want me to hang on to the nonsense old video I made in fear due to the fact that I was so young and innocent… PR team will make you say many things even if you don’t feel it is right. Right now whatever I say is THE REAL TRUTH. I am now older and wiser,” she had said.
Recently, in a new video making waves, Tonto Dikeh was spotted hugging her ex-husband at an event.
This led to another series of backlashes on social media against the two actresses.
Meurer, however, insisted that her marriage remains intact and described her bond with Churchill as strong.
Meanwhile, Tonto Dikeh praised her ex-husband for being an amazing father, saying, “Thank you. I love you with the love of God.”
