Ghanaian athlete Rose Yeboah’s ambition of winning a medal at the World Athletics Championships was dashed after she finished 12th in the women’s high jump final at the 2025 edition of the tournament.

Despite several attempts, she was unable to clear the 1.93-meter mark, which could have placed her in contention for a podium finish.

This marks the end of her maiden appearance at the World Athletics Championships, where she reached the final despite lacking extensive experience at this level.

Yeboah will now focus on intensive training ahead of future athletics meets, with the goal of securing a medal and cementing her legacy in women’s high jump.

Her result adds to Team Ghana’s overall medal drought in other disciplines, with hopes now resting on the 4×100 relay team to secure a medal in their upcoming final.
