Ghanaian-born high jumper, Rose Yeboah, puts Ghana on the map again by finishing second at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championships with a season’s best of 1.93m.

Rose Yeboah, who attends the University of Illinois, USA, has already had a sensational 2025 outdoor season.

She soared to new heights at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, delivering a season-best clearance of 1.93m (6-4) to claim the silver medal and finish as the national runner-up in a fiercely competitive final.

She was only outdone by 2024 runner-up Elena Kulichenko, who jumped 1.96m to claim the ultimate prize.

In 2024, Yeboah made history as the first Ghanaian female high jumper to compete in the Olympic Games, participating in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Her success has earned her national recognition, including being honoured as the Sports Personality of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year at the 49th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards in January 2025.

With her talent and determination, Rose Yeboah is poised for even greater achievements in the future, both nationally and internationally.
