Competing for the University of Illinois, Kennedy Ocansey soared to a remarkable clearance of 2.18m to clinch gold in the men’s high jump on Saturday.

The victory marks a significant milestone in his collegiate career and underscores his steady rise within one of the NCAA’s most competitive conferences.

Ocansey, who developed through Ghana’s athletics system before transitioning to the American collegiate circuit continues to demonstrate resilience, discipline, and ambition as he pushes toward elite international standards.
