The countdown is on for one of the most anticipated nights of the year as Rhythms On Da Runway marks 15 unforgettable years of celebrating African creativity.

This year’s edition, dubbed ‘The Black Star Edition’, promises to raise the energy, elevate the spectacle, and deliver an experience that captures the very heartbeat of the continent.

This year’s event is slated for Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the iconic Christiansborg Castle in Accra at 6 pm.

For 15 years, the event has highlighted African design, music, culture, and storytelling, giving creatives a global platform and drawing inspiration from the bold, unifying spirit of Ghana’s Black Star.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shirley Emma Tibilla, known in showbiz circles as Cookie Tee, says, “Fifteen years of Rhythms On Da Runway is a celebration of Ghana, of Africa, and of every creative who has poured their talent into this platform. The Black Star Edition is our tribute to the journey and the culture that continue to inspire us.”

She urged interested individuals and organisations interested in attending the event can send a Short Code to *714*1957#.

Patrons of this edition can look forward to captivating runway moments from leading designers across Ghana and the continent, including Nineteen57, Masantewaa Emporium, Kokude, Sara Erraissi (Morocco), Jay Ray Ghartey, Marie Kaba (Mali), Paon, SHMBK from Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe), Cacao/Chocolate, Lempoche Couture, and Tribal Sportswear. This extraordinary lineup is set to deliver bold statements, vibrant craftsmanship, and unforgettable fashion artistry.

    The Experience

Beyond the music and fashion euphoria, Rhythms On Da Runway offers a full cultural explosion from a lively red carpet and rich African ambience to curated networking moments, elevated hospitality, and a visually striking production that combines music, storytelling, and fashion. It is a celebration of community, identity, and African excellence.

    Performances

The stage will ignite with performances from King Promise, Kwabena Kwabena, Gyakie, Maya Blu, Kwaw Kese, Nacee, and Oheneba Kissi, delivering a rich, dynamic mix of contemporary hits, soulful vocals, nostalgic favourites, and the unmistakable magic of live music.

    Black Star Award Recipients

This edition will also honour outstanding icons whose work has shaped African fashion, culture, and creativity. Nora Bannerman, Amakye Dede, Efya Awindor, and Idris Elba will receive the prestigious Black Star Award for their remarkable contributions and global impact.
