Swift Promotions returned to the 2300 Arena on Friday night with “Future is Now Series 3,” a six-bout card showcasing a mix of rising prospects and established local talent. The evening featured six undefeated fighters entering the ring, highlighted by a devastating first-round knockout from Philadelphia middleweight Erron “Junkyard Dog” Peterson in the main event.

In the night’s featured attraction, Philadelphia’s Erron “Junkyard Dog” Peterson made an emphatic first impression following his signing with Swift Promotions, stopping previously unbeaten Romanian middleweight Eronim Aradoaie in just 57 seconds of the opening round.

The southpaw Peterson immediately established control, using intelligent footwork to pressure Aradoaie around the ring. Less than a minute into the bout, Peterson trapped his opponent along the ropes and delivered a crushing left to the body that sent Aradoaie to the canvas.

Although Aradoaie attempted to gather himself, his body failed to respond. Remaining on one knee, he repeatedly pounded the canvas with his right hand in frustration as referee Eric Dali completed the ten-count.

The knockout extends Peterson’s remarkable streak to 12 consecutive stoppage victories, improving his record to 15-0-1 (14 KOs). Aradoaie suffers the first loss of his professional career, falling to 10-1-1 (1 KO).

    Phipps Wins After Griffin Disqualified

The co-main event featured a clash of generations as 20-year-old featherweight prospect Cornellio “Chada Time” Phipps met 38-year-old veteran Dominique “Dynamite” Griffin.

Phipps used his superior speed from the outset, repeatedly beating Griffin to the punch while landing sharp power shots behind quick footwork. As the younger fighter increased his tempo, Griffin increasingly relied on holding to slow the action.

Referee Shawn Clark deducted two points from Griffin for excessive clinching, but the veteran continued to tie up his opponent whenever exchanges developed. After repeated warnings went unheeded, Clark disqualified Griffin at 2:25 of the third round.

The unusual ending keeps Phipps unbeaten at 8-0 (2 KOs), while Griffin falls to 7-14-2 (2 KOs).

Anderson Hands Marrero First Professional Defeat

One of the evening’s most competitive contests came in the super lightweight division, where Philadelphia’s Juan “The One” Marrero met Dallas native Aiden “Wake ’Em Up” Anderson in the first scheduled six-round bout for both fighters.

Despite both men entering with reputations for knockout power, the fight unfolded primarily as a tactical battle fought at long range. Marrero generally landed the cleaner individual punches, while Anderson found success with combinations and closed the fight strongly, including a sharp left hook during an exchange in the sixth round.

The judges were divided after six rounds, returning scores of 58-56 Anderson, 59-55 Marrero, and 58-56 Anderson, awarding Anderson a split decision victory.

The victory improves Anderson to 4-2 (3 KOs), while Marrero suffers the first defeat of his career, dropping to 7-1 (6 KOs).

    Kirkpatrick Cruises to Unanimous Decision

Undefeated welterweight Jasai Kirkpatrick continued his steady climb with a dominant four-round performance over Nick Monty.

Kirkpatrick consistently pressed the action, throwing in higher volume while landing the more damaging punches throughout the contest. A sustained body attack paid dividends late, as the bodywork helped set up the bout’s lone knockdown in the closing seconds of the fourth round.

Monty beat the count and lasted until the final bell, but all three judges scored the bout 40-35.

Kirkpatrick records his third consecutive unanimous decision victory to improve to 5-0 (2 KOs). Monty falls to 1-5.

    Villanueva Remains Unbeaten

Reading, Pennsylvania’s Jeffrey Manuel Villanueva stayed undefeated with a polished four-round unanimous decision over Bryan “Chinito” Santiago in a super bantamweight bout.

Villanueva’s accuracy and defensive discipline separated the two fighters throughout the contest. While Santiago remained active, Villanueva consistently landed the cleaner punches while limiting his opponent’s offensive success.

All three judges scored the bout 40-36 in Villanueva’s favor.

Villanueva’s record now stands at 4-0-1 (1 KO), while Santiago drops to 2-7-1.

Gonzalez Opens Card with Hard-Fought Victory

Nineteen-year-old welterweight prospect Elijah “Macho” Gonzalez opened the evening by earning a unanimous decision over German Perez.

Gonzalez controlled the opening half of the bout with the heavier punches before Perez rallied in the third round by increasing his work rate. The fourth round featured spirited exchanges from both fighters, with Gonzalez landing several clean right hands in the last minute, and Perez mounting a rally in the final ten seconds of the bout.

The official judges scored the fight 40-36, 39-37, and 39-37 for Gonzalez.

The victory keeps Gonzalez unbeaten at 5-0 (3 KOs). Perez falls to 3-11-2 (1 KO).

Peterson Headlines Successful Night for Swift Promotions

Swift Promotions once again showcased many of the region’s emerging prospects in front of an enthusiastic Philadelphia crowd. Peterson’s spectacular body-shot knockout provided the evening’s defining moment, while Phipps remained unbeaten, Anderson scored the biggest win of his career, and unbeaten prospects Gonzalez, Villanueva, and Kirkpatrick all continued their ascent.

The event reinforced the depth of young talent developing in the Mid-Atlantic boxing scene and provided another successful installment of the “Future is Now” series at the historic 2300 Arena.
