Former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has taken a swipe at people who flaunt their expensive lifestyles at high school reunions.
Sharing in a tweet on X (Twitter) he questioned those who attended reunions in their Bentley cars and Rolex Wristwatches.
He went on to describe the people who do this as cruel, claiming that they’ve unknowingly pushed some of their colleagues into depression and even suicide.
His tweet read;
“We know you are successful. But don’t go to your school’s reunion party with your Rolex and Bentley. It is just cruel! How do you expect your classmates who have not made it to feel? Many of you have caused depression and even suicides by going to an occasion that is meant to bring back good memories only to create sad remembrances for your classmates. Just show up and don’t show off. You don’t help, and you still want to oppress. What type of wickedness is that? You all started with nothing together. And nothing will follow you when you leave this world as we all must!”
Below are some of the comments from Tweeps;
“God bless you. Sir Reno Some people left there class groups because of intimidation and oppression from their mates”
“These are wise words from you Mr Reno, sadly when it comes to political opinions you tend to lean towards one side. But hey all man are looking after their pockets”
“The one your government is doing to us is it not more than that? We don’t need your advice. Keep it to yourself.”
