Ghanaian artiste Mathilda Akatugba, popularly known as Kaesa, has stated that Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone evicted her from the popular ‘Talented Kids’ show in 2013.

Kaesa, who is currently nominated in the ‘Unsung Artiste of the Year’ category at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), revealed in an interview with 3FM that her eviction from Talented Kids broke her so much.

“I remember my eviction very well. Reggie Rockstone kicked me out from the competition so quickly. I had been there for six weeks, and I was heartbroken, I cried my eyes out. My parents reassured me, saying, ‘Oh no, it’s okay,’” she said.

Kaesa first appeared on the Talented Kids show at just 12 years old.

She further emphasised that growing up, she was very passionate at dancing and singing with big dreams of becoming a superstar one day.

According to her, she was full of energy and drive, always taking the lead when it came to performing.

“When I was young, I wanted to be a superstar, always dancing in class and teaching people how to dance. I was so strict that if you are not doing the choreography well, I will sack you,” she added.
