The Ministry of Communication has issued a public appeal to citizens to stop circulating videos and photos of the recent helicopter crash and the burning bodies of the victims on social media.

In a statement, the Ministry expressed respect for the individuals involved and requested that all copies of the graphic content be deleted immediately.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of showing respect and dignity to the victims and their families during this difficult time.

They counted on the cooperation of Ghanaians to refrain from sharing the disturbing content.

The Ministry extended its prayers and condolences to the families and friends of those impacted by the tragic incident, urging everyone to observe sensitivity and restraint in their online activities.

A military helicopter crashed on August 6, 2025, in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region, claiming the lives of two cabinet ministers and six others.

The incident has sent shockwaves across the nation, with many Ghanaians expressing condolences and outrage on social media.

However, the circulation of graphic content related to the crash has sparked concerns about respect for the victims and their families. In response, the Ministry of Communication has stepped in to urge citizens to show restraint and sensitivity in their online activities.
