Embattled rapper Agbeko has reportedly begun rehabilitation at Pantang Hospital after years of struggling with drug use, according to fellow rapper Edem.
Edem explained on his X page on November 21, 2025, that he and his team at the Volta Regime Music Group (VRMG) took Agbeko to the facility and have committed to covering all his treatment expenses.
‘Agbeko has refused rehabilitation programme at Pantang despite efforts’ – Edem
“It’s with great joy that I share with all well-wishers and family that Agbeko reached out this week and said he was ready to get help. My team at VRMG and I arranged for him to begin rehabilitation at Pantang and pledged to take care of all expenses during his stay,” Edem said.
Agbeko’s decision to seek treatment comes only a few days after he initially turned down Edem’s offer of support.
It will be recalled that earlier reports by GhanaWeb indicated that the rapper’s career had declined in recent years due to struggles with drug use.
Concern about Agbeko’s condition grew after a viral video showed him asking media personality Andy Dosty for money to buy food.
Andy Dosty later hosted him on his show on Hitz FM, where Agbeko disclosed that he had been introduced to drugs by an ex-partner.
The video triggered reactions across the industry and prompted Edem to step in. Determined to support a colleague whose talent had once inspired many, Edem invested time and effort into encouraging Agbeko to pursue recovery.
