Prosper Narteh Ogum is set to receive a $16,000 compensation package following his dismissal as head coach of Asante Kotoko, sources have confirmed to Kessben Sports.

The payout is part of a severance agreement between the coach and the club after a turbulent period that culminated in his unexpected departure.

Ogum was shown the exit on Monday, April 21, 2025, following a string of poor results, including consecutive defeats to Accra Lions and Nations FC.

As part of his exit package, Asante Kotoko will pay Ogum a total of $16,000. This amount reportedly includes three months of unpaid wages, estimated at $12,000, along with a $4,000 severance bonus.

Ogum’s departure comes at a critical juncture in Asante Kotoko’s season, with only six games remaining in the Ghana Premier League.

Following his dismissal, Dreams FC coach Karim Zito is reportedly set to step in as interim coach for the remainder of the season, as Asante Kotoko strives for the domestic double.

During his second stint at Asante Kotoko, Ogum recorded seven losses, thirteen wins, and eight draws in twenty-eight games.

The Porcupine Warriors currently sit fourth in the Ghana Premier League standings with 47 points, six behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
