Broadcast journalist Kwame Dadzie has shared his views on comments made by Prophet Nigel Gaisie concerning events during the December festivities.

He stressed that he does not see them as prophecies but rather as cautionary statements.

Speaking while hosting a show on Hitz FM on January 13, 2026, Kwame Dadzie shared that although disasters can occur at event centres during the busy December period, he does not necessarily see the comments as spiritual revelations.

“Listening to what Nigel Gaisie said about what will happen during the December shows, I see it to be precautionary or something to make us aware that we can have disasters happen at our event centres during that period,” he said.

According to him, beyond creating awareness, he does not interpret the statement as a prophecy and insists on his right to believe or disbelieve such declarations.

“Beyond that, I don’t see a prophecy in this one. I reserve the right to believe it or not and I reserve the right to read meanings into it as in prophet trying to tap the vibe of the creative industry,” he stated.

Kwame Dadzie further recounted a personal encounter with Prophet Nigel Gaisie, which he said raised concerns about how prophecies are sometimes delivered.

Let’s be selfish sometimes about Ghana – Kwame Dadzie

“I’ve had an encounter with Nigel Gaisie. I think it was a discussion and I mentioned him under my post on Facebook. Then he came to prophesy under my post that two women were fighting over me. One is Fante and the other is Ewe,” he narrated.

He disclosed that the prophet also claimed he was destined to travel to the United States but that spiritual forces had blocked the opportunity.

“He said again that I need to travel to America but the devil has closed the door so I should pray that the door opens. I had no intention of going to America when he posted and even now,” he said.

The broadcaster explained that such prophecies, if not handled carefully, could create unnecessary tension in marriages and relationships.

“Imagine someone writing that two women are after you and your wife is not that smart and intelligent, your wife might think who the other Ewe woman is because she’s a Fante,” he noted.

Kwame Dadzie emphasised that while he does not dismiss prophecy entirely, it must be delivered with discretion and wisdom.

“I’m not saying prophets don’t see but I think prophecy should come with wisdom,” he added.
