The Progressive Alliance for Ghana (PAG) has extended warm congratulations to the senior national football team, the Black Stars, for qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In a statement issued on Monday, October 14, 2025 and signed by the party’s 2024 Presidential Candidate, Dr John Kpikpi, the PAG praised the team for their determination, unity and resilience, describing the qualification as a reflection of Ghana’s enduring sporting excellence and national pride.

“This achievement showcases Ghana’s footballing excellence, unity and determination globally,” the statement read.

“Your qualification symbolises national pride, resilience, and the boundless potential of the Ghanaian spirit.”

Dr Kpikpi commended the technical team, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and all stakeholders who contributed to the Black Stars’ success.

He said their dedication and teamwork had “lifted the hearts of millions” and reminded the nation that with focus and collective effort, Ghana can excel in any field.

The statement further assured the team of the Progressive Alliance for Ghana’s unwavering support as they prepare for the global tournament next year.

“As you prepare for the World Cup, PAG assures you of our full support.

Play with humility, focus, and the excellence that defines our beloved country.

The nation stands solidly behind you,” Dr Kpikpi stated.

He concluded with an expression of confidence in the Black Stars’ potential to make history once again on the world stage.

“Congratulations, Black Stars! You’ve made Ghana proud. Onward to victory! Go, Black Stars! Go Ghana!”

The Black Stars’ qualification marks their fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup, and preparations are already underway to ensure a strong performance in the 2026 edition.
