Professor Francis Dodoo, the former President of the Ghana Athletics Association, has become the first known sports personality to be appointed to the government of President John Dramani Mahama.

In the latest list of executive appointees published by the Acting Spokesperson for the Office of the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the former Ghanaian athlete was announced as the head of the National Anti-Corruption Programme.

The new role mandates Professor Dodoo, who is the Head of Governance at World Athletics, to oversee the anti-corruption drive of the Mahama-led government, including the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) policy.
