Former Hearts of Oak star, Prince Tagoe, has shed light on his enduring and supportive relationship with award-winning dancehall icon Stonebwoy.

In a revealing interview, Tagoe recounted the genesis of their close bond and emphasized that their brotherhood predates Stonebwoy’s meteoric rise to fame in the Ghanaian music industry.

Tagoe disclosed that in the early stages of Stonebwoy’s career, he played a significant role in providing crucial support.

Far beyond mere words of encouragement, the former Black Stars striker actively invested tangible resources to help propel the Bhim Nation president’s journey.

Notably, Tagoe revealed that he frequently made his personal vehicles available to Stonebwoy and his manager, Black Cedi, for various logistical needs, including transportation to concerts and, significantly, for music video productions.

These acts of generosity, Tagoe explained, stemmed from a profound belief in Stonebwoy’s immense talent and an unwavering fraternal connection.

“I came in and support. Because of the belief I had in him, and I came in to let him feel, say, Charlie, you can do it,” Tagoe shared in his interview with Accra FM, highlighting his early conviction in Stonebwoy’s potential.

At a time when Stonebwoy was still establishing his presence on larger platforms, Tagoe ensured that the budding artist had access to a touch of luxury and convenience.

“So at that time, I mean, you see Stonebwoy will come to Accra Sports Stadium for a show driving a Porsche. So, I just released all my cars to him and Black Cedi anytime they want to go anywhere,” Tagoe fondly recalled, illustrating the extent of his early support.

“I introduced Stonebwoy to Adebayor, gave him my cars for his music videos but he has unfollowed me on social media.”
