Ghanaian boxer Prince Oko Nartey is set to return to action tonight in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, after recovering from a minor setback that disrupted last weekend’s fight schedule.

Several fighters on the card reportedly fell ill due to suspected food contamination, forcing a delay in proceedings.

Nartey, who travelled to East Africa with his trainer Coach Killer, is aiming to capture the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Africa light heavyweight title. He will face South Africa’s Asemahle Wellem in what is expected to be a competitive contest.

The bout is being staged under the promotion of Mafia Promotions, drawing attention from boxing enthusiasts across the continent.

For Nartey, the fight represents a crucial opportunity to assert himself on the African boxing scene and strengthen his credentials in the light heavyweight division. A victory would mark a significant step forward in his professional career and boost his standing within the WBO Africa rankings.
