Popular Ghanaian comic actor Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, widely recognised as Dr Likee, has revealed that an unexpected interaction with John Dramani Mahama convinced him to abandon plans to leave the entertainment industry.
During a conversation with Giovani on Showbiz 360, the comedian explained that he had seriously considered stepping away from acting and comedy after spending many years producing films and online skits.
According to him, everything changed after he ran into President John Dramani Mahama at an airport.
The brief meeting, he said, became a powerful moment that renewed his enthusiasm for his craft.
Akabenezer recounted that the President greeted him warmly and mentioned that he frequently watches his comedy content and enjoys it.
The revelation, he said, left him both surprised and deeply touched.
He explained that hearing such words from a national leader made him rethink his decision to quit.
The actor said the moment reassured him that his work is meaningful and appreciated by many people, including individuals in high public office.
Dr Likee added that the encouragement pushed him to remain active in the industry and continue producing comedy for his fans.
According to him, knowing that someone with a demanding schedule still finds time to watch and laugh at his skits gave him a strong sense of motivation.
