    Following the tragic incident that led to the deaths of six individuals at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra, President John Dramani Mahama visited the 22 victims currently receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital.

    According to a statement released by the Ghana Armed Forces, the incident occurred in the early hours of November 12, 2025, when applicants rushed the gates at the start of the recruitment process.

    The surge resulted in a stampede, causing 28 casualties, including six deaths, 12 people in critical condition, and five injured.

    Upon learning of the incident, the President visited the 37 Military Hospital to commiserate with the applicants receiving treatment at the facility.
