Known in legal circles as Justice Daniel Mensah, the Dormaahene is among a long list of Justices of the High Court who were nominated, vetted and set to be sworn in today.

According to the report, they will join the Court of Appeal Bench, which now has divisions across the country, with a Registry situated in Tamale.

The Tamale division serves virtually all the northern sector regions, namely Upper East, Upper West, North East, Savannah and Northern.

The Justices nominated and vetted to serve on the appellate bench will strengthen the judiciary’s reach across the country.

Prominent among the list is long-serving High Court Judge at Koforidua, Justice Senyo Amedahe, renowned for his rulings and judicial duties in the case of Ernest Kumi, the deceased Member of Parliament for the Akwatia Constituency.

His brother and sister, Justice Apangano Achibonga and Justice Mariama Samo, who sit on the Adenta High Court Bench, are also due for elevation.
