The Republic of Angola is preparing to host the 17th USA–Africa Business Summit in its capital, Luanda, from June 22 to 25, 2025.

The event is of capital importance in the year in which the country celebrates 50 years of its Independence and assumes the rotating presidency of the African Union.

In a statement released by the Government of the Republic of Angola, President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço invites political and business leaders to participate in the event, saying:

“It is with great honor that we invite you to the United States–Africa Business Summit, which will take place in Angola, in the city of Luanda, from June 22 to 25, 2025, in partnership with the Business Council for Africa.

This event is now in its 17th Summit, bringing together Heads of State and Government or their representatives, executives from African and North American companies and investors interested in exploring new opportunities in the fields of trade, energy, infrastructure, agro-industry, health, innovation and much more, strengthening economic, financial and business relations between Africa and the United States of America.

This is a unique moment of sharing perspectives and investment opportunities, shaping the future of economic relations between nations and peoples with bonds of brotherhood forged in the history of humanity.

In the year in which Angola marks 50 years of Independence, this is a unique moment of joy and celebration that we want to share with everyone, valuing the achievements and projecting a future of peace and development, in the same way that, within the scope of the Presidency of the African Union, we are committed to strengthening economic and commercial ties between Africa and the United States of America.

We are waiting for everyone in Luanda.”
