The Premier League have officially ended their long-standing ball partnership with Nike, announcing a new deal for future seasons.

Nike has been the league’s official ball supplier since 2000, producing some of the most iconic match balls in English football history. Over the 25-year partnership, Nike created a total of 23 different match balls for the league.

According to The Athletic, Nike was interested in extending the partnership, but negotiations with the Premier League fell through.

The Premier League have now reached an agreement with Puma, which will take over as the official ball supplier starting from the 2025/26 season.

“We are delighted to be welcoming Puma as the official ball supplier of the Premier League,” said Premier League CEO Richard Masters.

“Puma has a proud history of involvement in football over many years, and we look forward to seeing the new ball used in all our matches from this summer onwards.”

This marks the third time Puma has replaced Nike as a match-ball supplier, having previously taken over in Serie A for the 2022/23 season and in La Liga since 2019/20.
