Kamaldeen Sulemana made headlines with a jaw-dropping display of speed, skill, and determination that left fans and pundits alike singing his praises.

Although Southampton lost, the youngster stole the spotlight with a dazzling performance that left Manchester United’s Leny Yoro reeling on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

Sulemana started his third consecutive game and immediately took command of the left wing, where he faced off against Leny Yoro. It was smooth sailing for the Ghanaian, who on numerous occasions left Yoro trailing behind.

Although the forward failed to make any goal contributions, he completed five of six attempted dribbles and achieved 80% passing accuracy on the night.

His performance earned widespread praise from football fans, with Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim acknowledging his efforts.

“Their number 20 [Sulemana] had a lot of space behind, and we had a hard time stopping that player,” he said.

    Read some reactions below:

Sulemana was moving like a player I would want in one of them 10 slots, by the way. His physicality and sharpness on the turn was so so impressive, bounced off everyone, quick bursts of speed, ball striking, direct and attacks the box well. Lovely player him.
