    The grand unveiling of the Despite Automobile Museum, a first-of-its-kind luxury automobile showcase in Ghana, was a celebration of fine engineering and historical automobiles.

    The event also turned into a political meet-up, drawing personalities from across the political space.

    Here are some of the notable politicians who attended the opening ceremony of this multi-million-dollar facility, commissioned by business mogul Osei Kwame Despite.

    Former President John Agyekum Kufuor

    The respected statesman and Ghana’s President from 2001 to 2009. Former President Kufuor’s presence lent a dignified and nostalgic touch to the occasion.

    Julius Debrah – Chief of Staff

    Serving as Chief of Staff under President John Mahama, Julius Debrah is an influential person in Ghanaian politics.

    His attendance signaled his support for initiatives that preserve national and cultural heritage through innovative means like the museum.

    John Dumelo – MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon

    The actor-turned-politician continues to find a way to blend entertainment with governance.

    John Dumelo’s was present at the launch of the museum with his wife, bridging the gap between youth culture, celebrity influence, and civic leadership.

    Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) – 2024 Presidential Candidate (New Force)

    Nana Kwame Bediako, the New Force leader’s presence was almost poetic.

    Bediako, often associated with luxury, and transformation appeared in his blue vintage car at the event.

    Kennedy Agyapong – Former MP for Assin Central

    Kennedy Agyapong, famous for his outspoken views and business acumen, was also present at the launch of the museum and fitted right into the high-powered guest list.

    Dorcas Affo-Toffey – MP for Jomoro

    A rising female voice in Ghanaian politics, Dorcas Affo-Toffey’s was also in attendance, emphasising gender inclusivity in a male-dominated spaces such as automotive culture.

    Osman Ayariga – CEO of the National Youth Authority (NYA)

    Osman Ayariga, the voice of the youth was present at the museum.

    The NYA boss has pushed for youth empowerment, and the museum’s blend of history, design, and engineering is an ideal platform for inspiring the next generation.

    Johnson Asiedu Nketiah – NDC National Chairman

    Johnson Asiedu Nketiah popularly known as “General Mosquito,” brought political weight and grassroots appeal to the occasion.
