Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer could have purposely copied the moves of fellow accused assassin Luigi Mangione, according to veteran writer Tom Leonard, in the latest episode of Daily Mail’s bombshell new podcast series, The Assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Suspected gunman Tyler Robinson, 22, engraved political messages on the bullets found in the rifle he used to kill the conservative commentator at Utah Valley University, officials said.
It was the same move made by Mangione, who is accused of ambushing and murdering United Health Care CEO Brian Thompson in New York City.
‘Just like with school shooters who copy each other, we seem to have political assassins doing the same,’ Leonard said in the second episode of the new Daily Mail series.
‘Writing messages on the bullet casings has become a feature – it happened with Luigi Mangione in Manhattan last year.
‘And in this case, some of the clearest indications of where the killer was coming from were literally written on the bullets – things about fascism, suggesting a left-wing stance. None of that is a surprise anymore.’
Bullet casings discovered by investigators in the woods near Utah Valley University had several inscriptions engraved on them, officials said on Friday as they announced Robinson’s capture.
The casing that had been fired read: ‘notices bulges OWO what’s this?’
Cox said there were three unfired casings; One read, ‘hey fascist! catch!’ with an up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol, and three down arrow symbols.
Another one read: ‘oh bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao,’ a reference to an anti-fascism anthem.
The third fired casing read: ‘if you read this you are gay lmao.’
