Police have launched a double arson probe after two multi-million pound London mansions went up in flames just hours apart.

The fires struck the homes in Bromley, with one £1.6million property known as ‘The White House‘ found alight in Plaistow Lane at around 4am on Sunday morning.

Hours after firefighters rushed to a blaze at a house less than 300 metres away on Orchard Road, with crews called at 10pm that evening to an inferno on a mansion.

Fortunately no injuries were reported but damages are expected to be significant at both sites and police say they are keeping an ‘open mind’ as to whether the incidents are linked.

Shocking images showing parts of each property reduced to rubble with the crumbled roofs leaving the mansions almost entirely exposed.
