Several people dressed in brown uniforms, posing as security personnel, have been apprehended by the Ghana Police Service near the Awoshie DVLA polling station in the Ablekuma North Constituency.

According to reports, the suspects could not provide proper identification when challenged and were later transported to the Odorkor Police Station for questioning.

They were seen loitering near the polling station during the parliamentary election re-run, prompting concerns due to their inability to verify their identities. Security officers on duty grew suspicious and took action.

John Desmond Nii Sowah Nai, the Ga West Municipal Chief Executive and Dean of MMDCEs in Greater Accra, confirmed the arrests in an interview with Citi News. He mentioned that authorities doubt the individuals are affiliated with any official security agency.

The police are currently investigating to determine the suspects’ true identities and intentions.
