Police National Football Club (PNFC) recorded an impressive 2-0 victory over Ejisu Future Stars in their Matchday 17 encounter of the Access Bank Division One League, played at the Tuba Astro Turf in Accra on Monday, January 26, 2026.

The match, which kicked off at 3:08 pm and concluded at 5:15 pm, saw PNFC displaying discipline, composure and tactical efficiency throughout the contest.

The team’s strong performance was a testament to their growing confidence and cohesion as the competition progresses.

Franklin Owusu opened the scoring in the 39th minute, giving PNFC a deserved first-half lead.

The goal was a culmination of a well-worked move, showcasing the team’s attacking prowess.

Owusu’s strike set the tone for the rest of the match, with PNFC continuing to press forward in search of more goals.

In the second half, Ejisu Future Stars pushed hard for an equalizer but PNFC’s defense held strong.

The team’s goalkeeper, in particular, had a solid performance, making crucial saves to keep the opposition at bay.

As the match drew to a close, Eric Akonnor sealed the victory with a well-taken goal in the 80th minute.

The goal was a fitting end to a dominant performance by PNFC, who controlled the tempo of the game from start to finish.

The encounter was played in a calm and orderly atmosphere, with both teams showing respect for each other on the pitch.

The victory strengthens PNFC’s campaign in the ongoing league season and reflects the team’s growing confidence and cohesion as the competition progresses.

PNFC’s coach, speaking after the match, praised his team’s performance, saying, “We were excellent today. We worked hard for this win, and it’s a testament to our team’s strength and depth. We’re looking forward to the next match and continuing our good form.”

The win moves PNFC up the league table, and they will be looking to build on this momentum in their next match. For Ejisu Future Stars, the loss is a setback, but they will regroup and come back stronger in their next match.

The Access Bank Division One League is heating up, and PNFC’s win is a major talking point. With their strong performance, they have announced themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the league.
