The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced the nominees for the Player, Goalkeeper, and Coach of the Month awards for March in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The shortlist highlights standout performers who impressed with their exceptional displays during the month under review.

The nominees for Coach of the Month include Samartex manager Christopher Ennin, Dreams FC’s Abdul Karim Zito, and Prosper Ogum of Asante Kotoko. These three coaches inspired their teams to secure crucial points and remain unbeaten in March.

Ennin guided Samartex to two wins from four games, including impressive victories against Nsoatreman and Medeama SC. Zito led Dreams FC to three wins in four matches, including a notable victory over Hearts of Oak. Ogum steered his team to two vital wins in four games, helping Asante Kotoko climb to the top of the standings.

Four players have been shortlisted for Player of the Month, with Berekum Chelsea’s Stephen Amankona leading the pack. He netted four goals in three games, securing crucial points for Chelsea as they fight to avoid relegation.

Bechem United’s Yaw Annor, Kwesi Pong of Heart of Lions, and Gold Stars’ Kelvin Oppong also made the list. Each scored two goals in three matches, except Annor, who played four games.

For Goalkeeper of the Month, the nominees are Frederick Asare of Asante Kotoko, Gidios Aseako of Dreams FC, and Shaibu Shafique Issah. Asare kept three clean sheets in four games and conceded just one goal, playing a key role in his team’s solid defensive record.

Aseako similarly kept three clean sheets in four matches, conceding only once. Issah completes the list with one clean sheet in three games and two goals conceded.
