Police stations in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal of the Eastern Region have been equipped with modern first aid systems to help provide handy medical assistance to police personnel, suspects and complainants.

Pharm Emmanuel M. Philansmith on Wednesday, headed a delegation from Tymcoin Pharma Ltd, located at Agormanya, to present advanced first aid systems to all four police stations within the Lower Manya Krobo District.

The occasion marked the company’s first anniversary and aimed to strengthen ties with the traditional leadership.

The objective of the first aid box donation, is to supply vital medical resources to the police stations, thereby enhancing their ability to respond efficiently during emergencies.

Contents of the First Aid Box:

The boxes are equipped with bandages and wounded care (assorted band-aids, gauze pads, and rolls), basic first aid tools (scissors, tweezers, and thermometers), pain relief and antihistamines, (acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and Benadry), blister and burn care (aloe vera gel, burn cream, and moleskin)

    Benefits:

The action which demonstrates community support for the police department is expected to enhance the police station’s emergency response capabilities, ensuring timely medical attention for officers and community members.

    Presentation:

The delegation paid a courtesy call on Nene Sakite II, the Konor of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area and President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, where the first box was fixed.

The gesture was in alignment with the Company’s commitment to its corporate social responsibility (CSR), where it implemented state-of-the-art First Aid System at the royal palace.

He further provided assurances to Nene Sakite II and the assembled elders that the system will be equipped with essential emergency medical supplies and will undergo quarterly restocking to maintain its effectiveness in times of crisis.

The first aid supplies will also be used to equip community first responders in the area.

Pharm. Emmanuel Matey Philansmith formally presented the first aid boxes to the police stations in Akuse, Kpong, Nuaso, and Odumase Krobo during separate brief ceremonies.

The donation of these first aid boxes represents a significant enhancement to the safety and well-being of the community.

The Pharmacist expressed his gratitulde for the generosity shown by the police stations in Krobo land and anticipate further collaborations within the community.

The team, as part of its assessment needs of the facilities, also engaged in cordial conversations with the management of the Akuse prisons.

The discussions focused on the well-being of the inmates and their overall welfare andassured them of Tymcoin pharmacy’s dedication to promoting the health of the prisoners.

Pharm Emmanuel M. Philansmith further announced intentions to expand similar installations to additional public institutions within the municipality, thereby strengthening Tymcoin Pharma’s dedication to public health.

ASP Gifty Adu-Heheshie who received the box at the Akuse District Police Command, expressed the gratitude of the police to the Philanthropist.

The items, she noted, would go a long way to address medical needs of personnel on duty, as well as suspects and complainants who visit the station with injuries.

    About first aid

First aid is a fundamental aspect of healthcare that can mean the difference between life and death. Unfortunately, many communities in our country lack access to basic first aid supplies, leaving them vulnerable in emergency situations.

Tymcoin Pharma’s donation, will therefore be a testament to its commitment to ensuring the well-being and safety of all communities on Kroboland.
