Fuel prices are responding to the cedi's appreciation Fuel prices are responding to the cedi’s appreciation

The first pricing window of November 2025 opens on Monday, November 3, 2025, with some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) already adjusting petroleum product prices in line with industry projections of a significant drop during the month.

Checks by GhanaWeb Business as of 8:00 AM on November 3, indicate that Star Oil, the market leader, is selling petrol at GH¢11.59, down from GH¢12.77 in October 2025.

Diesel is also selling at GH¢12.47 per litre, down from GH¢12.97 on October 20, 2025.

GOIL, on the other hand, hasn’t adjusted its prices yet; petrol is selling at GH¢12.98, diesel is going for GH¢13.85, and RON 95 is selling at GH¢15.25.

Allied Oil is selling petrol for GH¢11.95 and diesel at GH¢12.17.

Fuel prices set to drop from November 1

The Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COCM) projected an 8% drop in petroleum product prices per litre, citing a decline in global crude oil prices and the cedi’s appreciation against the dollar in October 2025.

The Ghana cedi has strengthened significantly against the dollar in the last quarter, with analysts crediting the rebound to measures implemented by the Bank of Ghana.

Meanwhile, international Brent crude prices have fallen to a five-month low of $62.82 per barrel.
