Peró Dominates Aguilar As Kings Promotions Opens 2026 With “Ring Wars 21”

Story & Photos By David Algranati

Kings Promotions kicked off its 2026 schedule Saturday night with Ring Wars 21, a seven-bout card at the historic 2300 Arena. The event featured unbeaten prospects, competitive veteran matchups, and decisive finishes, headlined by an authoritative performance from undefeated heavyweight Dainier Peró.

Main Event: Dainier Peró Stops Aguilar After Two Rounds

Former Cuban Olympian Dainier “The Fear” Peró continued his steady rise in the heavyweight division with a dominant stoppage of veteran Mario “El Ruso” Aguilar.

Peró controlled the fight from the opening bell, using his height and reach advantages to dictate distance. In the first round, the southpaw relied heavily on his right jab and right hook to keep Aguilar at bay. The second round saw Peró increase his output, attacking with both hands and committing consistently to the body.

Late in the round, Peró trapped Aguilar on the ropes and landed a sustained sequence of unanswered punches. Aguilar returned to his corner with visible welts across his torso and elected not to continue.

Official result: Peró by TKO at 3:00 of round two.

Peró improves to 12-0 (9), recording his seventh knockout in his last eight fights. Aguilar falls to 23-11 (19).

Co-Main Event: Lemir Riley Outpoints Joel Caudle

Veteran heavyweights Lemir Riley and Joel “Quiet Storm” Caudle delivered an action-filled eight-round co-main event.

Both men were willing to trade throughout, with Riley holding an edge in accuracy while Caudle appeared to possess the heavier single shots. Riley’s consistency and cleaner work ultimately separated him on the scorecards.

The judges returned scores of 60-54, 60-54, and 58-56, all in favor of Riley.

Riley moves to 6-7 (3), having won two of his last three bouts. Caudle’s record stands at 9-12-2 (6).

Mehki Phillips Forces Corner Stoppage Against Andujar

Baltimore lightweight Mehki “No Limit” Phillips made a strong Philadelphia debut, stopping veteran Yeuri “Dinamita” Andujar after four rounds.

After Phillips took the opening round, Andujar responded in the second with increased pressure and heavier punches. Phillips regained control in the third, asserting himself offensively and maintaining momentum into the fourth.

Following the fourth round, Andujar elected not to continue.

Official result: Phillips by TKO at 3:00 of round four.

Phillips remains perfect at 9-0 (9). Andujar drops to 7-9-1 (4).

Pryce Sparrow Remains Undefeated in Six-Round Test

Highly regarded welterweight prospect Pryce Sparrow, an 18-year-old signed with Top Rank, passed another developmental test against Eduardo Hernandez Trejo.

The six-round bout was largely tactical and contested at range, with Sparrow showing maturity against the older and more experienced Trejo. Sparrow closed strong, responding effectively to late pressure.

All three judges scored the bout 60-54, 59-55, and 59-55 for Sparrow.

    Sparrow advances to 5-0 (3). Trejo’s record moves to 8-6 (5).

Melikov Controls Torres After Heated Build-Up

Following a contentious weigh-in, featherweights Otabek Melikov and Jose “El Nene” Torres settled their differences inside the ring.

Melikov imposed steady pressure throughout, landing clean left hooks and straight right hands that carried the action in each round. Torres was game but unable to shift the momentum.

The judges scored the bout 40-36 across the board for Melikov.

Melikov improves to 2-0 (1). Torres falls to 1-2 (1).

Eduardo Corona Hands Josue Sosa First Defeat

In a battle of undefeated welterweights, Eduardo “Mexican Bully” Corona earned a unanimous decision over Josue “The White Ghost” Sosa.

Corona outworked Sosa in the opening two rounds, building an early lead. Sosa rebounded with a stronger third, but Corona’s work rate and consistency returned in the fourth to secure the decision.

All three judges scored the bout 39-37 for Corona.

Corona moves to 2-0 (1). Sosa drops to 1-1 (1).

Gabriel Colon Wins Pro Debut in Competitive Opener

Philadelphia native Gabriel Colon began his professional career with a hard-earned unanimous decision over Soslan Alborov in the opening bout of the night.

The four-round middleweight contest was fought at close quarters. Alborov often started rounds quickly with volume and accuracy, but Colon repeatedly shifted momentum by landing single, impactful power shots.

The judges returned scores of 40-36, 39-37, and 39-37 for Colon.

Colon starts his career at 1-0. Alborov’s record stands at 1-4-1 (1).
