Renowned Ghanaian musician Ackah Blay has stated that constant collaborations with other top artistes are responsible for his longevity in the music industry.

In an interview with Adom TV, shared on Instagram on April 22, 2025, Ackah Blay revealed that working with other veteran musicians has had a positive impact on his career.

“To be frank, you have to learn when playing with top artistes because they know more than you do. Playing with senior artistes is an opportunity to learn from them.

“When I started playing with George Darko, we went on a trip to Germany. He used to sleep in the same room with me. He would mostly wake up at 4 in the morning and play his guitar until 6,” he said.

Ackah Blay added that despite his experience in music, he continues to learn from younger artistes in the industry.

“Also, as a human being, you always have to keep learning. Even when working with younger artistes, you must be open to learning. When I go to the studios, I learn from them, especially when I watch them play certain instruments or beats,” he added.
