Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has said public concerns about KiDi and him not seeing eye to eye may be half-truths.

This comes on the back of comments and speculations about these two artists being close in the open because they were under the same record label, hence the requirement to be nice to each other.

Speaking to Doreen Avio, he related their actions to differences in character and how they respond to specific issues.

“There’s some truth to what you just said, actually, and there’s a side of the story where there were the early days with Lynx Entertainment and the entire family; it was that sweet because you were all coming up together.

“It’s just like, people have different perceptions about people and how people handle themselves. KiDi’s character is way different from my character; we were two different people”, he said.

The musician further stated he’s got to keep a solid composure to help safeguard his dignity among his peers and the general public.

“I tried as much as possible to be in between, but I don’t want to be so calm that I lose respect for it. I don’t want to be too soft because you know how people are; when you’re too soft, they take their respect away and they bully you. Lynx taught me so much, and I’ve actually loved the brotherhood with KiDi in particular. We’ve had days where the tension is up there so much that sometimes, about maybe like a whole year, we don’t see each other, but we were all at Lynx Entertainment.”

“I moved from Lynx; I moved from the camp; I rented somewhere else, and later he moved as well. I had a studio in my house, and he also had a studio in his house as well. It got to a time when, if we met, maybe at a show somewhere in the States or maybe once we were going to the States together, we were going abroad together. The always together lasted for like about two, three years”, he added.

He further highlighted and spelt out his respect and concern for his colleague musician, KiDi, who he sees as his big brother.

“I actually love and respect KiDi as a big brother. Every single good thought he’s had about me, I appreciate it as a brother. I mean, I wish him expansion all the time. Anytime I see his post on social media, it’s part of my prayer that this song blows up because we all, when we blow up, bring glory to Lynx Entertainment, and that’s what I pray for all of us.

“There’s very little you can change about the narrative of other people, but I respect and love Kidi so much as a big brother”, he said.
