The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has directed Paul Adom-Otchere, former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), to present himself for questioning over an ongoing investigation into a revenue assurance audit deal.

The broadcaster, who also hosts Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana, has been identified as a suspect in the corruption-related probe.

A formal letter from the OSP, dated July 25, 2025, instructed Adom-Otchere to appear before the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, at the OSP headquarters in Accra on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

The investigation centers on a revenue assurance contract awarded during Adom-Otchere’s tenure as board chair of GACL.

The OSP is probing possible breaches of procurement procedures and potential acts of corruption linked to the deal.

According to myjoyonline.com, Adom-Otchere confirmed receipt of the letter and indicated that his legal team has requested a deferment of the meeting to Monday, August 4, 2025, due to a court engagement in Kumasi.

Paul Adom-Otchere was appointed Chairman of the GACL board in 2021 by then-President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Prior to that, he served on the board of the National Communications Authority.

This is not the first time his role at the state-owned airports company has drawn public scrutiny.

In 2023, the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) found that he had overstepped his bounds in administrative matters, following an investigation into a Christmas decoration procurement.
