Ghanaian artiste KayBlez has expressed his admiration for Patapaa’s viral track ‘One Corner,’ calling it the biggest hit he has ever known in the Ghanaian music space.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on November 5, 2025, KayBlez stated that Ghanaians have failed to appreciate Patapaa despite the global impact of the song.

According to him, the energy and reactions that come whenever ‘One Corner’ is played prove that the song is a masterpiece in its own right.

“The biggest hit song I’ve ever known is Patapaa’s One Corner song. Aside from the fact that the song is big, there’s an energy that comes with it. The things that happen whenever the song is being played are something else,” he said.

I haven’t received royalties for the last four years – KayBlez laments

KayBlez expressed disappointment over how some Ghanaians continue to ridicule Patapaa instead of acknowledging his contribution to the music industry.

“Ghanaians don’t want to give Patapaa’s flowers to him, and it’s sad. We have to stop ridiculing him and saying all sorts of things about him. Music has no formula,” he stated.

He further noted that music is a business and creativity should not be restricted to lyrical depth or technical perfection.

“That’s why musicians don’t stick to one particular type of song; they do music from all angles. We are all doing business in the music industry, so if Patapaa is able to bring a song like that for all of us to enjoy, some will say the song is not nice.

“Does it mean those who are enjoying the song are stupid? Forget the fact that it’s not lyrically good or that it’s not mastered well. The song is a hit,” he stressed.
