    Professional Boxing Association of Thailand (PAT) by its chairman of Boxing Section, Mr.Naris Singhawungcha, and the Games and Amusements Board, Republic of the Philippines (GAB) by its commissioner Mr.Angel P. Bautista had signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the comprehensive cooperation on professional boxing between PAT and GAB. The MOU signing ceremony was held on July 25, 2026, at World Siam Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand. The details of MOU are as follows;
    1. The GAB and PAT shall have a mutual understanding to produce authentic fighter’s records and shall formulate rankings specific to their own country.
    2. The GAB and PAT, in case of overseas fight, shall require the reciprocal issuance of fight permits, fight record certificates, and fight result certificates.
    3. The GAB and PAT shall collaborate to acquire the necessary documentation from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) of the Philippines, and the relevant embassies or consulates, for professional boxers, officials, and other individuals involved in professional boxing to comply with the respective government requirements for eligibility, visas, and other similar matters.
    4. The GAB and PAT shall endeavor to establish educational opportunities for local commissions in Asian nations, including organizing workshops for ring officials.
    5. The GAB and PAT shall assist one another in promoting the well-being and safety of boxers, which includes conducting initial health screenings, enforcing pre- and post-fight health evaluations, ensuring the presence of a commission doctor during the match, and conducting a thorough review of records to avoid mismatched fights.
    6. The GAB and PAT shall have fair bout management and equitable terms for boxing matches, including formulation of a uniform/standard set of rules for boxing.
    7. The GAB and PAT shall prohibit unlicensed boxers and those without a Letter of Authority to Fight Abroad from competing in their respective countries. Except in cases where a Filipino boxer already holds a PAT license, or where a Thai boxer already holds a GAB license, both GAB and PAT are requested to promptly notify each other of the names of their licensed boxers after the licenses have been obtained.
    8. This Memorandum of Understanding shall be effective immediately upon execution hereof and shall be valid until mutually revoked by the parties.

    During the ceremony, Mr. Naris Singhawungcha presented the plaque of Recognition to Mr.Angel P > Bautista and Mr.Rodil Manaog, GAB Chief of boxing, for their dedication and contribution to Asian professional boxing.
    Also, during the meeting, Both PAT and GAB have been concerned about the interference of an organization called “Asian Boxing Commission” (ABC), a private company registered in Hong Kong. ABC has claimed to be the boxing Commission of Asian boxing without being recognized by any boxing associations in any Asian country, not even in its country of origin, China.
    Boxing is a unique sport characterized by close-quarters combat, violence, and a high risk of serious injury or unforeseen incidents during competitions. Therefore, many countries have specific laws or regulations for this combat sport. The fact that the ABC is attempting to regulate the competition without local legal authority is deeply concerning and raises questions about the scope and nature of its responsibilities in the event of unforeseen incidents.
