Organised by the Parliamentary Service of Ghana and sanctioned by the Ghana Football Association, the event aims to promote unity, civic engagement, and democratic values through sports.

The inaugural match, held on July 17, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium, featured a high-profile clash between Premier League clubs Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, with Kotoko winning the title by a score of 2–1. A curtain-raiser match between Members of Parliament and former Black Stars players preceded the main event.
