Filipino former multiple world champion and International Hall of Famer Manny Pacquiao visited Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at Palasyo Malakanyang on Thursday, August 28, and presented the President with a World Boxing Council (WBC) championship belt along with a pair of boxing gloves.

The Philippines is gearing up for the 50th anniversary celebration of the WBC world heavyweight championship fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, known as the “Thrilla in Manila,” held on October 1, 1975, at the Araneta Coliseum.

The commemorative tribute, dubbed “Thrilla in Manila Part 2,” is scheduled for October 29 and will be attended by President Marcos.
