    La primera pelea importante de boxeo del año en Sin City tuvo lugar el sábado por la noche, cuando el peso súper mediano número uno, Diego Pacheco (23-0, 18 KOs), de Los Ángeles, y Steven “So Cold” Nelson (20-1, 16 KOs), de Omaha, Nebraska, se enfrentaron en el Teatro Chelsea en el Cosmopolitan de Las Vegas en vivo por DAZN.

    En lo que fue una sólida actuación de Pacheco, de 23 años, al obtener la decisión unánime.

    Comenzando lento, Pacheco, más alto, se puso a la altura de las circunstancias y aprovechó el jab para atacar con Nelson al acecho en el primer asalto. Pacheco siguió pegando el jab en el segundo y manteniendo la distancia, pero al final del asalto Nelson cerró con fuerza conectando un derechazo fuerte. Nelson conectó un derechazo con la mano derecha en el cuarto asalto, mientras Pacheco seguía trabajando con el jab y atrapó a Nelson con un derechazo fuerte que entró justo cuando se le abría un corte en el ojo izquierdo a Nelson, que empezaba a sangrar .
