A three-day international exhibition to showcase the newest electrical products, power and energy technology is scheduled for November 6-8, 2024.

Dubbed: ‘Power and Energy Ghana Expo 2024,’ the exhibition is expected to attract more than 100 exhibitors and 4,000 participants from Ghana, India, China, Turkey, Nigeria, France, United Kingdom, and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Also, it is aimed at providing avenue for showcasing the newest electrical products, power and energy technology, which was yesterday launched in Accra.

It is being organised by the BiG4Sure Events FZCO Company from the United Arab Emirate (UAE) and Ghana, and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Being partnered by Ghana Electrical Contractors’ Association, Ghana Union of Traders Association, Ghana Electrical Dealers Association, Energy Chamber of Ghana, and Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry, the Expo would bring together manufacturers, exporters, wholesalers, dealers and distributors of the power electrical energy equipment, gadgets and products including transformers, wires, solar panels, batteries, investors and generators.

Speaking at the launch in Accra on Wednesday, the Project Director for BiG4Sure Events, Thomas James, said the Expo would help build and develop robust power sector in the country that goes hand in hand with the vision of the government to have a strong industrial support infrastructure for export and job creation.

According to him, the exhibition he believes aligns with the government’s goals of identifying contemporary energy transmission methods to assist in reducing price of electricity in the nation.

Furthermore, Mr James noted that the exhibition would be the third to be organised in the country and was to bring suppliers and manufacturers of electrical products and investors under one roof in the country, following the success of the first exhibition chalked

“So we are deeply delighted to learn that a mix of companies and their portfolios are participating in this event to collaborate and explore fruitful business potential partnerships in the country.

And we believe that over the past two editions we have seen such similar successful partnerships growing and we believe in the third year, it will be greater,” he noted.

The President of GUTA, Dr Joseph Obeng, highlighted that the programme’s information on companies, new innovations, technology, and goods in the energy and power industry was crucial for the nation’s importers and dealers.

He added that if the country would thrive in its industrialisation, then it needed to invest and explore the energy sector.
