The leader of the NDC caucus in Parliament, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has asserted that the NDC is the Majority in Parliament, commending Alban Bagbin’s decision to suspend Parliament indefinitely.

Addressing the media after the proceedings on October 22, 2024, Ato Forson stated that their position is supported by the constitution and the Standing Orders of Parliament, reiterating his commitment to fiercely protect their Majority status.

“We want to make something very clear, the NDC Members of Parliament are in the Majority in Ghana’s Parliament. We’ve made our position, and it’s so clear,” he said.

He added that they will not be intimidated into submission or forced to relinquish their Majority position, standing firm in his commitment to maintain their status.

“We are not changing our positions. We see ourselves as the Majority. We are fortified by the Constitution and the Standing Orders of this House, and we see ourselves as the Majority.

“We hope that the time will come that this House will be recalled, and we take our position as the Majority  caucus,” Ato Forson said.
