Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, under His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the revered Asantehene and Life Patron of the club, has officially appointed a new Board of Directors to guide the Kumasi-based giants.

The announcement, made by the Manhyia Palace on Friday, February 27, 2026, marks a pivotal moment in the club’s leadership and strategic direction.

At the helm of the new board is James Osei Brown, the Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction, who will serve as the Chairman. With a wealth of experience in business leadership, Osei Brown is expected to bring a fresh perspective and strong governance to Asante Kotoko, ensuring the club thrives both on and off the field.

Kwasi Osei Ofori, the Chief Executive Officer of Rocksure, has been appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Board. His extensive experience in the corporate world will add significant value to the board’s decision-making process.

Other notable appointments include Kofi Amoa-Abban, the Founder and Chief Executive of Rigworld Group. Amoa-Abban’s leadership in the energy and construction sectors will offer crucial insights into driving the club’s growth and sustainability.

The board is expected to begin its statutory oversight responsibilities immediately, with the members bringing their business acumen and passion for football to the table.

The focus will be on improving the club’s performance, building a sustainable financial model, and fostering talent development at both the youth and senior levels.
