President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has said that Otto Addo will not be sacked as the head coach of the Black Stars.

According to Kurt Okraku who was shocked by the discussions about the future of Otto Addo, the position of the former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach is not under any threat.

He maintained that Otto Addo qualified Ghana to the World Cup in style and will lead the team to the tournament as the head of the technical team.

“Otto qualified Ghana in a grand style to the upcoming World Cup and Otto will lead Ghana as a proud Ghanaian to the World Cup.”

“Otto has a contract with the FA and we will respect the contract. He is not perfect, and no coach is perfect, neither is Kurt Okraku perfect. For me, he’s delivered what we asked of him, [and] he has done it in a grand style.”

“Otto Addo comes back, plays eight games [in all World Cup qualifiers], wins seven, and draws one – and then all of a sudden, people are talking about the future of the coach,” Kurt told Asempa FM.

Meanwhile, Otto Addo on Sunday, October 12, 2025, became the first Ghanaian to qualify the Black Stars to two FIFA World Cup tournaments after beating Comoros 1-0 to secure his first position in Group I with 25 points.
