Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is expected to name his squad for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will first take on Austria on Friday, March 27, at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, with kickoff scheduled for 17:00 GMT. The match will provide an opportunity for the technical team to assess player form and test tactical options ahead of the global tournament.
Following that encounter, the Black Stars will travel to Stuttgart for a second friendly against Germany on Monday, March 30. The four-time world champions are expected to offer a stern test for the West African side as they continue their build-up to the competition.
The Ghanaian technical team is likely to assemble a strong squad for both matches in a bid to fine-tune combinations and build momentum ahead of the tournament.
Looking ahead, Ghana will also face Mexico in May before concluding their preparations against Wales on June 2.
The Black Stars, preparing for their fifth World Cup appearance, have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia. Ghana will open their campaign against Panama on June 17, face England on June 23, and conclude the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
